Rocket's Blast Comicollector v1 #106, 1973 - The Phantom, an adventure hero of the pulp era, sits regally in his secret underground headquarters while his canine companion stays alert. Don Newton's magnificent rendition precedes his run on the character's own series. Could this cover have landed him the assignment in the first place? This fanzine's interiors are in black and white.
