Wonder Man v1 #1, 1986 - Now functioning as a stand-by member of the Avengers, Simon Williams' pursuit of an acting career in New York falters. A security job at an experimental science company proves a better fit, until one of their scientists accidentally opens an inter-dimensional doorway. This first issue, written by David Michelinie and drawn by Kerry Gammill and Vince Colletta, is the hero's first self-titled series since his first appearance in 1964. The dramatic cover is by Bill Sienkiewicz.
