Sweetheart Diary v1 #1, 1949 - In the first issue of this romance series, Paula feels self-pity despite a decent life and upbringing. Her crush on a bus driver named Danny goes nowhere until she can change her ways. I admit the "Last Stop" sign in the opening panel (see interior page below) is a clever use of metaphor. Like many Fawcett romance titles, the cover is adorned with a photo. Having no relevance to any of the inside stories, it's more likely an attempt to look more like a magazine.
