Batman v1 #235, 1971 - In an uncharacteristic move, Ras Al Ghul asks the Batman for help. His daughter is in pursuit of a deadly vial, not knowing it releases the plague when exposed.
Neal Adams' cover scene doesn't happen in the actual story, but suggests the eventual confrontation with Talia. The layout may be too busy for my tastes, but Adams' drawing skills partially make up for it. Note that this is the first time Talia Al Ghul is prominently featured on a cover. Other artists in this issue include Irv Novick.
