Golden Age Collector v1 #2, 1971 - Not sure if the cover's hero appeared in the golden age or invented by the artist. The design of the cape, helmet and chest symbol is certainly consistent for the era. For this comic fanzine, Don Newton provides a full-blown action scene, complete with demonic underground dwellers. Though the overall drawing seems lacking in precision, the artist's extra effort and strong composition lifts this cover above average.
