Darkhawk v1 #1, 1991 - In an abandoned funhouse, a teenager and his two little brothers witness a mob payoff to their father,  a New York City cop. They're suddenly discovered and chased after. Chris Powell finds a strange amulet, which transforms him into Darkhawk. Equipped with speed, agility and gadgets, he still barely defeats the gangsters. This series takes flight thanks to writer Danny Fingeroth and artist Mike Manley. Cover by Manley.
