| Goofy Comics #20 |
Goofy Comics v1 #20, 1948 - A lamb that's constantly fearful, a bird who rebels against his flock and a dog who constantly brags to his canine friends. Frank Frazetta provides the illustrations for these three separate text stories. All occupy roughly a sixth of a single page, which perhaps hampered the artist. "Lucky Bird" and "Blinkie's Bones" lack his usual penchant for detail but are strong compositionally. "The Cowardly Lamb" is the worst of the bunch, with its spare drawing style showing a lack of effort and creativity. Other artists in this golden age comic include Jack Bradbury and Al Hubbard.
