Youngblood v1 #1, 1992 - In suspended animation since the '40s, a genetically enhanced human named John Prophet awakens. When the Disciples of Doom suddenly arrive to threaten humanity, he joins forces with both Youngblood and the Beserkers: Kirby (modeled after Jack Kirby), Cross, Wildmane, Grey and Battleaxe. Rob Liefeld wrote and drew this particular story. In a separate tale, Jim Valentino introduces Shadowhawk, an urban vigilante with a penchant for killing. This character also appears on the flip-side cover.
