Marvel Comics Presents v1 #22, 1989 - Featuring Cyclops in a solo effort, the cover by Marshall Rogers does little to elicit excitement. The minimal approach does work given the amount of surrounding text. Sadly, even pairing with longtime collaborator Terry Austin isn't enough to make the illustration shine. Thankfully, his back cover shows more effort and planning. Other artists in this issue include Dave Cockrum, Ron Jim, Tom Palmer and Gene Colan.
