Hollywood Secrets v1 #1, 1949 - A young couple travels to Hollywood to pursue their dreams. Paul aspires to be a cameraman while Diane pursues movie stardom. Bill Ward's artwork is amazingly detailed, especially for this genre and era. He captures much of the slickness and glamor of the story. Small, cramped panels are abundant, but not detrimental to his overall work. Ward also draws the cover to this first issue, but not at the level of quality as the interiors. /// key 1st issue / select Ward art
