Our Army at War v1 #1, 1952 - DC's longest running war series begins, years before the iconic Sgt. Rock would make his debut. This first issue features several tales from both the Pacific and European theaters in WWII. From a silent but deadly night in a foxhole to a novel attack on Nazi soldiers, the characters are secondary to the stories themselves.
