Dead of Night v1 #1, 1973 - Not really known for work in the horror genre, John Romita nonetheless delivers a stunning cover for the series debut. There's a high level of detail throughout, but not enough to obscure the scene. Romita's choice to backlight the main character proves pivotal to the overall aesthetics.
