Grifter v1 #1, 1995 - Spinning off from the Wildcats, Grifter begins his own self-titled series. Barry Smith draws the cover for this firs tissue, placing the title character front and center. There's plenty of detail but the layout seems to be in need of a background. Although I usually prefer Smith inks his own pencils, inker John Floyd does an admirable job. This Steven T. Seagle story was drawn by Ryan Benjamin and Tom McWeeney. This is 1 of 1 Grifter issues by Smith and chapter 5 of the Wildstorm Rising storyline. /// key 1st issue
