The Saint v1 #1, 1947 - Based on a character by author Leslie Charteris, the Saint was a justice-seeking man of action featured in novels in the 1920s. This first issue marks Simon Templar's entry into comics, aided by his female assistant Pat Holm. When he's asked to join the search for a missing man, he gets more than he bargained for. Artists in this issue include Jack Kamen and Alex Blum. Kamen is also responsible for the fetishistic bondage cover not uncommon in comics from this era.
