Spawn v1 #9, 1993 - Still trying to find his bearings, Al Simmons encounters an warrior angel set on killing all hellspawn. Neil Gaiman opens the story with an earlier conquest during medieval times. The immortal Angela, now living in the current era, begins another hunt anew. Todd McFarlane draws both the cover and the interiors. A year later, Angela begins her own self-titled series.
