Jim Starlin |
Man-Thing v1 #2, 1973 - Not as well documented, this Man-Thing cover by
Jim Starlin is his only one on the series. Along with the thoughtful design, the shape and position of the wooden shards match the artist's style on other works. Perhaps what makes it less recognizable are the modifications by Marie Severin, who worked on the various faces. Note that Starlin drew an earlier Man-Thing tale in
Fear #12. Interior story art by Val Mayerick. This is 1 of 1
Man-Thing issues by
Starlin.
