Starslayer v1 #1, 1982 - While out hunting with his young son, a Celtic warrior named Torin Mac Quillon stumbles upon a patrol of Roman centurions. He dispatches them, knowing too well this is the start of Rome's incursion into the British isles. Writer and artist Mike Grell takes great pains to show the culture, community and environment of this ancient time period (roughly 43 AD). During a later battle with the Romans, Starslayer (as he's later called) is suddenly transported to Earth's distant future.
