Hit Comics #1 |
Hit Comics v1 #1, 1941 - When a courageous District Attorney targets corrupt politicians, he gets some unexpected help from the Red Bee. A crimefighter who keeps bees hidden in his belt, he uses his fists to exact justice. In a separate feature, a French Legionnaire becomes lost in the desert. He soon finds a magic pool with transforms him into Neon the Unknown. The story turns cringeworthy as he uses his neonic powers to fight hordes of "primitive races" taking over the Earth. "Red Bee" was written by Toni Blum and drawn by B. H. Apiary. Lou Fine draws the splendid cover. Other features include Hercules, Blaze Barton, the Strange Twins and others. /// key 1st appearance, 1st cover Red Bee, 1st appearance, 1st origin Neon the Unknown, 1st issue
