Supergirl v1 #1, 1972 - Moving into her college dorm near San Francisco, Linda Danvers passes by the theater department to find a murdered man on stage. Along with her strange new roommate, a mystery starts to unfold. Following her first appearance and subsequent run in Adventure Comics, the maid of steel finally gets her own self-titled series starting with this first issue. This Cary Bates story was drawn by Art Saaf and Vince Colletta. Zatanna also appears in a back-up tale. Cover by Bob Oksner. /// key 1st issue
