Showcase v1 #60, 1966 - Last seen during the golden age, the Spectre makes his return to DC. In this new story, a seance inadvertently frees the avenging spirit from the body of detective Jim Corrigan. In addition to fighting criminals, the spirit also encounters Azmodus, a villain from an evil astral plane. Naturally, a battle of galactic proportions ensues. To catch readers up, a one page text origin is included in the issue. This Gardner Fox story was drawn by Murphy Anderson. Cover by Anderson.
