Power Man #17 |
Power Man v1 #17 (#1), 1974 - Contacted by Stark Industries, Luke Cage is hired to test security at one of their facilities and steal an exoskeleton. Iron Man intervenes, marking the ex-con's first encounter with another superhero. Luke also adopts the name Power Man for the first time. This necessitates a name change to the series formerly known as
Hero for Hire. This Len Wein story was drawn by George Tuska and Billy Graham. Despite what says on the cover (by Gil Kane and Graham), Luke is not the
first black superhero. ///
