Shock Suspenstories #12 - Wally Wood art

Shock Suspenstories #12
Shock Suspenstories v1 #12, 1953 - Ten years after he hid a small fortune. a thief is unable to remember the fake name he used to open a safe deposit box. Typical of EC, the story is heavy with dialogue and narration. Wally Wood's artistry still emerges on even the most confined panels. His most detailed scenes occur on the first and last pages, where the same setting serves as the story's bookends. Wood's clever sequencing at the end makes the climax that much more impactful. This issue also has the classic "junkie" cover by Al Feldstein. Other artists in this golden age horror comic include Reed Crandall, Jack Kamen and Joe Orlando. This is 11 of 14 Shock Suspenstories issues by Wood.
