Marvel Premiere v1 #35, 1975 - Set during the 1950s, test pilot Chuck Chandler is captured by the Skrulls. His daring escape accidentally changes him into a new kind of superhero, summoned into reality by his polio-stricken brother Hal. Jack Kirby depicts the 3-D Man bursting through one of the interior pages into a hail of bullets. The costume is reminiscent of some of the artist's silver age creations. Dynamic and bold, Kirby introduces the hero with typical gusto. This Roy Thomas story was drawn by Jim Craig and Dave Hunt. This is 5 of 5 Marvel Premiere issues by Kirby. /// key 1st appearance, 1st cover, 1st origin 3-D Man- - - - - - - - - -
