Flash v1 #110, 1960 - Two separate stories would introduce two new characters central to the series. In the first, an escaped convict makes use of his brother's scientific laboratory to create a wand that can manipulate the weather. Dubbing himself the Weather Wizard, he embarks on a crime spree. The second story introduces Wally West, the nephew of Barry Allen's girlfriend. A little too coincidentally, an accident involving lightning and chemicals gives him super speed. Initially wearing a boy-sized Flash costume, Kid Flash would change his uniform two years later (probably due to readers' confusion). Both John Broome stories were drawn by Carmine Infantino and inked by Murphy Anderson and Joe Giella respectively.
