Batman Nevermore v1 #1, 2003 - Set in the mid-1800s, this series places young reporter Edgar Allen Poe in Gotham City. A series of murders also seems to have drawn out a bat-like garbed figure with his own agenda. Bernie Wrightson's painted cover is jarring, much like the story itself. Batman and Poe share equal prominence in the eerily designed scene. The interiors feature writing by Len Wein and art by Guy Davis.
