Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #86 |
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories v1 #86, 1947 - Volunteering for the local fire department, Donald Duck's ineptitude is displayed in several hilarious scenes. Carl Barks draws the main character in almost constant motion, his head and figure stretched in proportion. Page three is especially well paced and composed, depicting Donald in all his absent-minded glory. This story was later reprinted in Donald Duck Adventures #10. Other artists in this golden age comic include Paul Murry. Cover by Walt Kelly. This is 55 of 280 Walt Disney's Comics and Stories issues by Barks.
