Teen Titans v1 #1, 1966 - Following their appearances in Brave and the Bold #54, Showcase #59 and B&B #60, the Titans finally begin their own self-titled series. In this first issue, the Peace Corps asks the junior superheroes to solve a mystery high in the Andes Mountains of South America. A giant robotic Conquistador and a Beast God incarnate prove to be deadly challenges to the team. Interestingly, the issue somewhat helps promote the Corps, educating readers on its mission and training. This Bob Haney story was drawn by Nick Cardy. Cover by Cardy.- - - - - - - - - -
