Silver Surfer #1 |
Silver Surfer v1 #1, 1968 - After his debut in Fantastic Four #48 and subsequent appearances, the Surfer finally gets his own self-titled series. As he roams around the Earth, he encounters unprovoked fear and hatred. That aside, his travels yet remind him of similarities to his home planet Zenn-La and his former life as ordinary citizen Norrin Radd. He recounts the dreaded day that Galactus appeared, threatening to destroy his planet, and the pact he made in order to save it. That day Norrin Radd was transformed into his herald, soaring the cosmos as his silver emissary. This Stan Lee story was drawn by John Buscema and Joe Sinnott. Cover by Buscema and Sinnott. /// key 1st origin Silver Surfer, 1st issue
