Hawkman v1 #4, 1964 - Mysterious artifacts begin to appear at the Midway City Museum, prompting Hawkman and Hawkgirl to their places of origin. Separately, they find a woman dressed in magician's garb. When brought together the two merge into one, introducing herself as Zatanna. She explains her quest to find her missing father Zatara. This Gardner Fox story, drawn by Murphy Anderson, was later reprinted in Supergirl #5. Afterward, Zatanna would guest star in several DC titles before having a regular back-up feature starting with Adventure Comics #413. /// key 1st appearance Zatanna
