Adventure Comics v1 #66, 1941 - While on a task from King Arthur, Sir Justin frees Merlin the Magician from his imprisonment inside a tree. As a reward, the knight is given new magical armor and a winged horse. Not long after, the Shining Knight and his mount fall into suspended animation within an icy crevasse. Finally awoken in the 20h century, they proceed to fight evildoers in our own time.
