Feature Comics v1 #27, 1939 - With a suggestion from his future father-in-law, scientist Darrel Dane perfects a serum that shrinks him to doll size while maintaining full strength. Oddly enough, he turns evil for a moment before regaining his senses. Still uncostumed in this story, Dane dedicates himself to fight crime as the Doll Man. Not even featured on the cover, this tale was written and drawn by the great Will Eisner (under a pseudonym). The hero would eventually star in his own series. Other features in this issue include The Clock, Captain Fortune and Charlie Chan. /// key 1st appearance, 1st origin Darrel Dane as Doll Man- - - - - - - - - -
