Epic Illustrated v1 #22, 1984 - Excepts from a fictitious planetary newspaper, this esoteric article stands out visually from the rest of the issue's contents. Jim Starlin contributes several terrific paintings to accompany the article. Rich and varied in color palette, the artist show what he can do with a more complex medium. Quite different from earlier works, he succeeds nicely. This issue also includes a text article on Bernie Wrightson's Frankenstein book and artwork by John Bolton, Bill Sienkiewicz, Charles Vess, Pepe Moreno and Ken Steacy.
