Kamandi #32 - Jack Kirby art, cover & key reprint

Kamandi #32 dc bronze age science fiction 1970s comic book cover art by Jack Kirby
Jack Kirby
Kamandi v1 #32, 1975 - In the only giant-sized issue of the series, Kamandi is at the forefront of a war between tiger and gorilla armies. Dr. Canus makes first contact with an alien entity. Jack Kirby's poorly drawn cover contrasts his engaging artwork inside. Longer than the normal page count, the artist organizes the story into chapters, each headed by a full page splash (see interior page below). You can see the evolution of Kirby's style by comparing this effort to Kamandi #1, reprinted as a bonus in this issue. This is 32 of 40 Kamandi issues by Kirby.
