Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #67
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories v1 #67, 1946 - Huey, Louie and Dewey buy a pair of miniature jet engines, raising the ire of their thrifty Uncle Donald. Carl Barks' illustrations are kinetic, gradually building up to a teetering climax. When Donald and a female companion are stranded atop a rocky pinnacle, Barks depicts a variety of rescue attempts with humor and suspense. Other artists in this golden age comic include Al Taliaferro. Cover by Walt Kelly.
