Realworlds: Batman v1 #NN (no number), 2000 - Orphaned but supported by his community, a mentally challenged young man becomes Batman in a world without superheroes. Charlie runs into real life when encountering runaways, bullies, drug dealers. There's a straightforwardness to Marshall Rogers' art that reinforces the normally mundane life of the main character. Credit to inker John Cebollero for adding detail and texture when needed.
