Joe Palooka Comics #5 - Jack Kirby art

Joe Palooka Comics #5
Joe Palooka Comics v1 #5, 1946 - Following their short-lived series earlier in the year, the Boy Explorers appear in a short back-up feature. Created by Jack Kirby and Joe Simon, the group of young adventures head for the moon to mediate between two alien factions. Nicely detailed and creatively laid out, the illustrations meet same standards as other Simon & Kirby works from the same era. The title page is a bit generic, lacking any reference to the theme or plot. This story was later reprinted in >Joe Palooka Comics #62. Other artists in this golden age comic include Ham Fisher. Cover by Fisher. This is 1 of 1 Joe Palooka Comics issues by Kirby
