Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #232 - Carl Barks art & cover

Carl Barks
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories v1 #232, 1960 - Sent to the North Pole to participate in the Navy's navigation exercises, Junior Woodchucks Huey, Louie and Dewey use magnetic instruments to do their part. Unfortunately, they also find their stowaway uncle Donald Duck on the ship. Carl Barks does a good job depicting the frigid locale, but his drawings overall are merely adequate. His holiday-themed cover is a little less so. Other artists in this issue include Paul Murry on Mickey Mouse. This is 192 of 280 Walt Disney's Comics and Stories issues by Barks.
