Judy Canova v1 #24 (#2), 1950 - Set in the remote countryside, Judy Canova plays up the humorous antics of a rural community. Wally Wood's cover is better than the previous issue, but not by much. Still, his hand is evident in the drawing and composition. His two interior stories, unfortunately, fall far below expectations. Wood seems to suppress his own unique style in favor of copying Al Capp's Lil Abner. It's quite possible other artists lent a hand on certain panels and pages. This is 2 of 3 Judy Canova issues by Wood.
