Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #227 |
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories v1 #227, 1959 - To practice their search and rescue skills, the Junior Woodchucks recruit Donald Duck to be their "lost hiker" to hide in the woods. What happens when Donald does his job only too well? Carl Barks seems to revel in this scouting stories, drawing outdoor flora and fauna with gusto. As usual, his plot twists create opportunities for plenty of visual gags. Barks' tale was later reprinted in Huey Louie and Dewey #58. Other artists in this issue include Al Hubbard. This is 187 of 280 Walt Disney's Comics and Stories issues by Barks.
