Incredible Hulk v2 #181
Incredible Hulk v2 #181, 1974 - Hired by the government, Wolverine takes on the Hulk in the middle of the vast Canadian wilderness. Complicating the matter is the mysterious brute Wendigo, who has his own fight to pick. Touted on the cover as the first Canadian superhero, he would soon join Professor X's team in Giant-size X-men #1. Although Wolverine appears in the last panel of the previous issue, this one is regarded as his first full appearance. The hero also appears very briefly in the following issue. Written by Len Wein and drawn by Herb Trimpe and Jack Abel, this story was later reprinted in Incredible Hulk and Wolverine #1. Wolverine would later debut his own self-titled series. /// key 1st full appearance, 1st cover Logan as Wolverine
