Carl Barks |
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories v1 #133, 1951 - In this cautionary tale for kids, Huey, Louie and Dewey decide to run away far from home and play hooky.
Carl Barks has them traversing the countryside, yet still not enough to escape their responsibilities. The artist varies panel widths to break up monotony, but are almost unnecessary. Whether by truck, train or plane, Barks draws each transport scene with ebullience. This story was later reprinted in
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #350. Other artists in this issue include Paul Murry. This is 93 of 280
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories issues by
