Out of This World v2 #11, 1959 - In a pair of Steve Ditko tales, a young viking discovers a magical in a cave and a vindictive businessman calls upon an Egyptian genie. Both are adequately drawn but sorely lacking in detail and backgrounds. "The Careless Man", the latter story, is hosted by the Mysterious Traveler, and may have been originally intended for that series. In "The Time Chamber", Ditko's third effort in the issue, his techniques are a tad better. The final scene cleverly integrates a multi-paneled window into the page grid itself. Most impressive is the artist's cover, depicting a possibly hostile attack from space. A high level of detail combined with a precise composition makes this among Ditko's best covers of the era. This cover was later reprinted in >Space War v2 #30, "The Hammer of Thor" appeared later in Thane of Bagarth #24. Other artists in this golden age comic include Paul Reinman, Rocco Mastroserio, Sal Trapani, Bill Molno and Vince Alascia. This is 9 of 11 Out of This World v2 issues by Ditko.
