Amazing Spider-man v1 #38, 1966 - A failure at boxing and wrestling, a guy named Joe gets a bit part as an alien in a movie. An electrical accident gives him super-strength, but also sends him on a blind rampage. Meanwhile, a $20,000 bounty has been put on Spider-man's head. Steve Ditko begins with a cinematic cover and ends with a fight against overwhelming numbers. Even on his last issue of the series, the artist delivers a knockout blow. Note that Mary Jane Watson makes her first cameo appearance (in shadow) on a single panel.
