World's Finest Comics v1 #278, 1982 - Forming a pact with Satan, Dora Keane gains the power cover large areas with dense shadow. Can Mary Marvel save her cohorts before it's too late? Drkon Newton does a splendid job transitioning the setting from light to dark using the villain's costume (page 3). Overall, the dramatic lighting is a hallmark of his work. Inker Frank Chiaramonte is largely faithful to the original pencils. This story was later reprinted in Shazam! The World's Mightiest Mortal #3. Other artists in this copper age comic include Dan Spiegle. Cover by George Perez.
