Happy Comics v1 #31, 1949 - A giraffe that aspires to public office and an animal-run sports event are but two of the text stories in this issue.
Frank Frazetta's talent shows clearly within each, but his third tale is the most interesting. "Nibby" is about an alley cat who wishes he had a home. Unlike other work in the series, Frazetta presents a dark and depressing landscape. While equal to the others in artistic quality, the difference in tone makes this tale stand out as a notable outlier. Other artists in this golden age comic include Jack Bradbury. This is 11 of 17
