Amazing Adventures v1 #1, 1950 - Hired by a wealthy old man and his niece, adventurer Chet Fields guides them on an expedition through the Venusian jungles. Trespassing on the forbidden Winged City, they subsequently become prisoners. Among Wally Wood's early works, the story shows his penchant for the science fiction genre. The crudeness of the drawings are offset by the artist's enthusiasm and extra effort. Other artists in this issue include Murphy Anderson, Alex Schomburg and Harry Sahle.
