All-American Comics #101 - Alex Toth art & cover

Alex Toth
All-American Comics v1 #101, 1948 - Evicting a family from their own land, a gang of rustlers instead run afoul of do-gooder Johnny Thunder. While not quite polished, Alex Toth's artwork is an improvement over the previous issue. A high level of effort is evidenced by fine detailing on most panels. As a money-saving tactic, Toth's opening splash is re-used for the cover. Note how Johnny Thunder's horse gets equal billing. Other artists in this golden age comic include Irwin Hasen, Art Peddy and Bernard Sachs. This is 8 of 9 All-American Comics issues by Toth.
