Showcase v1 #8, 1957 - The Flash's second appearance heralds in a new super-villain as well. Armed with a cold-inducing gun, a costumed individual robs a local bank with impunity. Captain Cold can not only freeze people and objects, but create wild illusions as well. He initially proves himself more than a match for the Flash, who eventually puts him on ice. This Robert Kanigher story, drawn by Carmine Infantino and Frank Giacoia, was later reprinted in Limited Collectors' Edition #C-39. Cover by Infantino.
