World's Finest Comics v1 #264, 1980 - Mr. Mind reconvenes the Monster Society, comprised of Captain Marvel's worst foes. Some of Don Newton's story pages are better than others. As he nears the middle of his run on the series, his drawings are remarkably consistent. His layouts also continue to be creative and diverse. Nice rendition of Cap and Mary Marvel battling an army of ancient Egyptians (see interior page below). This story was later reprinted in Shazam! The World's Mightiest Mortal #3. Other artists in this copper age comic include Rich Buckler and Dick Giordano.
