Walt Disney's Comics and Stories v1 #72, 1946 - Instead of going to school, Huey, Louie and Dewey decide to play hooky. With their Uncle Donald hot n their trail, they resort to boxcar hopping to evade him. Even with his earliest work on the series, Carl Barks shows his artistic skill. One and two-point perspectives and foreshortening are accurate, despite the funny animal genre. The layouts are also quickly paced to match the plotline. Cover by Walt Kelly.
